The holidays have long been over. Valentine's day is in the rear-view mirror, as is President's Day. That can only mean one thing: spring is on the doorstep. With every new spring season there is an opportunity to reach a whole new set of customers looking for the designer sunglasses your retail operation is known for. Are you ready for the annual spring rush?

Here's hoping you already have your spring inventory nailed down. Otherwise, you should probably get busy placing your orders. It will not be long before our wholesale sunglasses start flying off your retail racks.

As we do every year at this time, we have looked around in hopes of identifying this year's biggest trends. We think we have a pretty good handle on spring 2022. Below are the top trends we have identified to date. You probably won't be surprised by the first two.

Aviators and Wayfarers

The two most popular styles among men continue to be aviators and wayfarers. No surprises there. These two are considered the classics. If nothing else in a man's life is especially stylish, he can count on his aviators or wayfarers answering the call. They never go out of style.

Wayfarers should do very well in your basic black. Dark blues and browns will probably have a good audience as well. As for aviators, the thin metal frames they are known for will be in demand. The only difference is that, this year, some of your customers might be interested in wider arms made of a metal and plastic combination.

Round Frames

Whether you call them round or circular frames, this particular shape seems to ebb and flow in terms of its popularity. There are some years when men just aren't interested in round sunglasses. Other years they cannot seem to get enough. From what we can tell, round is back in for spring 2022.

We would recommend round frames that are thin and light. Big and bulky probably won't garner a lot of attention. As always, you can browse our entire inventory of men's designer sunglasses to find the perfect round frames your customers will appreciate.

Semi-Rimless

What we refer to as semi-rimless sunglasses here on our website, other people call clubmaster sunglasses. The name is less important than the style itself. Semi-rimless sunglasses have an upper rim that doesn't extend below the halfway point of each lens. In other words, the lenses have no underneath support. Glue keeps them intact.

Semi-rimless sunglasses were first made popular in the 50s and 60s. Back then, they were also known as browline sunglasses. You still see that name pop up every now and again. One way or another, we expect semi-rimless to be pretty popular in the coming months.

Wrap-Around Sunglasses

Next up are wrap-around sunglasses. They have become synonymous with athletes and exercise. Expect to see them a lot at the beach, on the golf course, and during those pick-up softball games. Every person who considers themselves athletic will be looking for a pair of wrap-arounds this spring.

Never Too Soon to Order

As a wholesale distributor of designer sunglasses, we work awfully hard to make sure we have enough product to supply our customers. As a retailer, you owe your customers the same kind of commitment. If you have not yet ordered your spring inventory, there is no better time to do it than right now.

In the future, remember that it is never too soon to order what you need for the upcoming season. Try to stay one season ahead and you'll be just fine.
